The Atlanta Falcons’ defense stands tall as the heartbeat of the team, dominating Week 1 by ranking first in total EPA and shutting down the Pittsburgh Steelers with relentless pressure. Can they maintain their intensity after losing Da'Shawn Hand and juggling lineup changes along the defensive line? With Za'Darius Smith racking up 2 sacks on just 16 snaps and the addition of Gervon Dexter, the Falcons’ pass rush looks ready for its next big challenge.
All eyes shift to Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers, posing a completely different threat at quarterback—electrifying, mobile, and coming off a 361-yard, three-touchdown performance. Will Atlanta’s game plan shift from last week’s “reckless abandon” to a more contained approach, aiming to build a wall that limits Young’s playmaking outside the pocket? Constricting space and controlling rush lanes may be the key to rattling Carolina’s top pick and securing another statement victory.
