After a rocky preseason opener, the Atlanta Falcons search for momentum as joint practices with the Indianapolis Colts loom. All eyes are on the quarterback battle, with Tua Tagovailoa aiming to settle in as a potential stopgap while the team eyes Michael Penix Jr. as their long-term solution. Can Atlanta’s dynamic skill players — including Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts — find their rhythm against a tough Colts defense? The Falcons shake up their pass rush by signing Za'Darius Smith to fill the void left by James Pierce's suspension and Jalen Walker's injury. Secondary health and the return of cornerback Avion Terrell and safety Jesse Bates III could be just what the defense needs. Will these practice sessions reveal answers or only deepen concerns for Atlanta as they prepare to take on an explosive Colts offense led by Jonathan Taylor, Daniel Jones, and newly acquired Keenan Allen? #riseup #atlantafalcons #nfl #nflfootball Photo credits: IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect
