Kendal Daniels is making waves at Atlanta Falcons training camp, accelerating from fourth-round pick to nearly locking down a starting role at inside linebacker. His transition from playing safety at Oklahoma under Brent Venables to linebacker has showcased his exceptional athleticism, football IQ, and understanding of defensive schematics—making him a potential defensive leader alongside Divine Diablo. Will Daniels claim the starting spot by September 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh? Meanwhile, the battle for the Falcons’ edge position is heating up with Za'Darius Smith bringing both leadership and much-needed pass rush ability. As Cam Sample and Keyshawn Banks step up during James Pearce’s suspension and Jalon Walker’s absence, Atlanta’s depth at edge rusher gets a crucial boost. Can these emerging talents ease the loss of veterans and keep the Falcons’ defense explosive as the season approaches? #Falcons #RiseUp #NFL Photo credits: IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect
