Michael Penix had "bust" written all over him. Now he looks like the franchise guy. 😳
Corey Burton breaks down the ONE thing behind the Atlanta Falcons' turnaround: a clear team identity. It's why Atlanta has played two primetime games and blown out both opponents.
🏈 OFFENSE: Under Zac Robinson, the Falcons lacked identity, direction and rhythm. Enter Tommy Rees and Kevin Stefanski. Penix returned against the Packers, and the offense looked like a well-oiled machine. He's at his best under center, in play action and when he's moving defenders, and that play-action touchdown to Jahan Dotson was the dagger. Next to evolve: Branch, Dotson and Kyle Pitts, whose time is coming.
🛡️ DEFENSE: Jeff Ulbrich's clear plan is getting production from everywhere: Cameron Thomas, Za'Darius Smith (out of retirement), two late-round rookie linebackers, CJ Henderson, Billy Bowman, Avieon Terrell and newcomer Gervon Dexter.
