The Atlanta Falcons have shocked the NFL by leading the league in pass rush win rate—despite missing young talents like Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. Veterans Za'Darius Smith and offseason additions Cameron Thomas, Brandon Dorlus, and Gervon Dexter are propelling a defensive line that pressures quarterbacks without an excessive blitz rate, outperforming aggressive units like the Minnesota Vikings. The result? Elite defensive performances that stifled stars such as Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love.
But all is not perfect in Atlanta. With AJ Terrell sidelined, questions swirl around the secondary—can players like Jesse Bates and Xavier Watts keep the unit steady, or does struggling corner Mike Hughes need to hit the bench? The defense’s trajectory looks promising, yet the Falcons face tough decisions to stay on top. Will a potential move shake up the lineup and keep Atlanta’s defense elite?
